Done. And I have the paper to prove it!

You might have heard the cheering where you were.  About 3:15pm today. Done.  Finished.  External radiation completed.

The daily treatments were actually quite painless and quick.  Lie down on the table, let them line me up just right, stay still while the machine zapped me from the left side, the top, the right and from below.  Lower the table, I was on my way.  Mondays they weighed me, Wednesdays were blood draw days.  Simple, nothing to complain about.

Tell that to my intestinal tract.  It resented the whole situation.  And it complained.

 ’Nuff said.

Next week I will have the first of three internal beam radiation treatments.  Brachytherapy.  Allows the doctors to deliver higher doses of radiation to more specific areas of the body.  The good news is that specific area does not really include my intestinal tract.  So I suggest that my intestinal tract should shut up its complaining now and get on about its normal business so I can get on about mine.

Continue to Pray 2

I made the flower in the picture months ago, but I chose to include it today for the reminder it carries.  I appreciate so much each one of you that have lifted me to the Father.

Continue to pray.

Hey Laura! I am so glad to hear your news! I hope what comes next will go smoothly! I think of you every day and pray for healing and restoration. Maggie Sue, Macy, and several of your 5th graders that go to Hillcrest have you in their daily prayers too. :) I know you are going to have all this behind you in no time!
I miss seeing you every day. I miss hearing what’s going on with everyone and their families! I miss eating lunch together too. I need to come up again and bring everyone Hickory St.!
I’m thinking of you my friend!
