The bees and I were both quite pleased by the arrival of blooms on the flowering quince bush that lines my driveway.
The bees were busy with their business of gathering, so they ignored me as I got about my business of gathering. Despite the thorns on the branches and the buzzing in the bushes I aquired my desired blooms. Picked some other things here and there to make things interesting.
The blooms tend to be low on the long branches, so a short container like this Rexall Store bowl works nicely. Got me to wondering what it originally held. Anyone know?
Pulled out a plate my mom painted years ago. Those cherries look yummy with the coral pink blooms.
These blooms are the first taste of spring time on its way.
So March is here.
I’ve just been back to work about a week, and it’s already nearly Spring Break.
I’m looking forward that that, but the day I am really anticipating is Tuesday, March 8.
My last day of 25 daily radiation treatments.
Hope you have something pleasant to look back on, and something enticing to look forward to.
And may this very moment hold something beautiful.

I am amazed at how those leaves look just like sage…
